GET SMART AND USE A PROXY

As part of the UK Government’s crackdown on terrorism, controversial government powers to access millions of peoples’ private phone records are set to be extended to e-mail accounts and Web site records, UK Ministers said.

According to a report in The Daily Telegraph the news means that councils or quasi non-governmental organisations (quangos) will be able to access private e-mail accounts or examine Internet phone records to snoop on taxpayers. The Home Office says it wants to extend governmental investigative powers to include peoples’ access to Web sites, e-mail accounts and even phone calls made over the Internet using services like Skype. The cost of the new plan is likely to be borne by Internet and telecommunications companies, although the Home Office said this will form part of the consultation. The move has been heavily criticised, with claims that extending the powers was further evidence of a ’snoopers’ charter’.

Hey, Long time no speak!

Just thought we would let you know the obvious, the site has been recently been updated to include a Proxy Topsite and a FAQ section ( Although the section is not fully completed ). We thought we would have a portal as the front page and move the proxy listing to another section. The listings have been very successful and we appear to have more and more users accessing the section each month. We hope to bind all the different sections together in the next couple of weeks with a standard theme as it looks a bit unprofessional at the moment

Most proxy owners tend to use a variety of ways to increase traffic on their sites. Most use a mixture of mailing type groups such as google groups and yahoo while others tend to use topsites. You could be missing a huge audience if you miss submitting your site to stumbleupon. I have been using the site for some time to increase my networks readership and its a must if you want to instantly get additional users. Stumbleupon users are mostly tech savvy and appreciate proxy usage and internet security news. Install your stumbleupon tool into explorer or fiefox and join up today

As I have said previously, proxy topsites can help your unblocker grow. Its a partnership in which both party use reciprocal linking and both grow as a result of linking etc. I have recently completed some research on proxy topsites and their reciprical linking proccess. Most use an Aardvark php scrip, and most topsite scripts ask you to add their code to your site first before they add you to their topsite. I have found that 70% of them do not now link back to your proxy.  They get a free link from you but cont be bothered in listing your site. nothing changes! Do your research before you list their top-site. if they are not linking into you, then delete theri free link also.

Unfortunately due to the spam build up on the blog, around 200 comments a day are spam we will be changing the submission on comments by registering. We did not want to do this as it slows up the comment submission process but we can have people emailing spam every day

There are mixed reviews on proxy topsites and what kind of traffic your proxy can gain from being listed in a topsite. The “hardcore” network owners of proxies simply detest topsites and they mostly gain traffic from pure seo and google / yahoo groups.

Advantages of topsites:

# It gives you a reciprical backlink, including your keyword usually.

# It takes about 30 seconds to set up

# If you engage with your users they will even vote for your proxy and push you up the rankings gaining you even more traffic.

# having you site listed also motivates you to increase your rankings and play with some seo etc.

# you get to see who the competition is and how they are doing.

Topsites are GREAT for NEW PROXIES. If you add you proxy to some of the bigger sites you will see immediate traffic from the site.

As you mar know, Google does not like proxies and with that google pays out terrible for adsense. If you proxy is new then you have from 1 to 5 months and then google usually smart prices your site. There is a few ways to keep up the revenue and keep google at bay.

# Content is king ad you need to update and change  your proxies main page every week or two

# Keep away from obvious keywords link myspace or facebook etc as google pays out so low with these keywords

# Add a H2 tag that is nothing do do with proxies or myspace etc. I have had some success with this and I am pretty sure it works long term. I wold change this every month or two

# If you proxy is NOT high on the rankings I wold also change the title and description every month as this help also.

# keep aways from adense images, use text ads

If you have just made a new proxy its a good idea to submit them to yahoo and proxy groups. Below I have listed some of the more useful ones to submit to.

Little tip: submit your url every 4 - 8 hours first of all to get some initial traffic and then every other day. Trust me it works a treat.
